Actually make it to the play you keep meaning to see
The review came out six weeks ago and you all agreed you'd go. The run ends on Sunday. stelovo is how you stop saying 'we should' and pick a night.
Theater runs end. Tickets disappear. The friends you want to go with all have different busy weeks. Somewhere between 'we should see that' and the closing notice, most plans quietly die in a group chat.
stelovo is a tiny tool for the people you actually go to the theater with. Pick a few dates the show is still playing, everyone taps what works, and the first night that lines up is the night you book.
How it works
- 1Add the friends you see plays with.
- 2Propose the nights the show is still running.
- 3Book the tickets once the taps line up.
Why stelovo for theater nights
Theater has a deadline the rest of your social calendar doesn't. A run is four weeks long, tickets get scarcer toward the end, and the people you want to go with all have packed weeks in different shapes. By the time the group chat converges on a night, the good seats are gone — or worse, the show's closed.
stelovo is built for the small group who already goes together. Your theater crew sits in a private constellation — no feed, no recommendations, no strangers. When something worth seeing comes up, someone proposes the nights that work for them. Everyone taps what they can make. The first night enough people line up is the night you book, and you stop relitigating it in four separate threads.
When the constellation reaches its end date, everything in it vanishes — chat history, past meetings, the whole thing. No archive of shows you meant to see and didn't. If you want a standing theater crew, set the end date far out and extend it as you go. If you're planning one specific run, set it to close a week after curtain.
For the friend who doesn't have stelovo yet, you can add them as a managed partner and vote on their behalf. When they're ready to join, they claim their own slot and their history follows them in.
Frequently asked
Can stelovo buy the tickets for me?▾
No — stelovo doesn't touch ticketing. Once a night is confirmed, whoever usually books still books. stelovo only handles the 'which night' part.
What if only half the group can make any of the proposed nights?▾
The proposer sees who voted for what and can confirm a smaller subset, or repropose with different dates. There's no minimum — you decide when enough yesses is enough.
Can I add the night to my calendar once it's confirmed?▾
Yes — confirmed meetings give you a one-click .ics download that your phone or laptop will import. No calendar integration to set up, no OAuth, just a file.
What about matinees or weekend shows?▾
Each time option has its own start and end time, so matinees, evenings, and late shows are all just different options on the same proposal. Propose a mix and let people tap what they can make.
